Eleven Months

                                  I'm 11 Months!

In the above picture, Alaric thought he would dress like an orange traffic cone for the day. In reality, I cleaned out his closet and drawers and found this flourescent onsie. You can tell how much he loves it. 11-months was a good time. He loves to pull all my books off the bookshelf and page through them. He loves to play with all the kitchen spices and tupperware. He's not afraid to put anything in his mouth regardless of if it's dog food, paper, or spilled lettuce. He can sign when he wants to eat, and he can blow kisses and wave bye bye. He loves saying "HI!" to the animals and giving them big hugs. Which they all hate. He loves to throw his toys at them and us and laugh about it. He learned to walk but still perfers crawling for the speed.

He pushed the diaper box to the door, climbed on it, and tried to escape. He quite the little acrobat. I didn't even see how he got up there but I'm sure it was hilarious. Brad said it reminds him of what Tommy Pickles from Rugrats would do. Maybe Alaric is off to find Reptar.

He got his head stuck in the toy box one morning and I was laughing so hard. Needless to say he didn't find it as funny as I did but I had to snap a picture before saving him.

The fourth of July was good. He didn't even cry at the fireworks. Brad and I spent like $300 but it was totally worth it. I even painted Alaric's toes red, white, and blue for the occasion. I bought him a hat at art in the park and he even kept it on for awhile. We talked around for awhile in the mei tai until I was too roasting to continue.

We had some family pics taken when my aunt, uncle, and cousin's daughter were in town (not pictured) - this is some of us though. Brad, myself, Alaric, Christina, Joey, and grandma Bert.

Other randoms - pictures with Alaric.. one of Isabel's professional pictures .. and of course some of the fur babies.

Ten Months

                                                  I'm Ten Months!

The first picture is our summer look. Plaid shorts, t-shirt, Bison Booties, and a faux hawk! He has kind of weird expression going on but that's because he kept screeching at me. I could just hear him saying "seriously, mom - we are going to be late for daycare!".

This kid loves the water! It hasn't been too nice out but he doesn't care. He's happy to climb into dog pool in full clothes and a regular diaper.

We bought a baby swing for the backyard and he loves it. Don't mind the dirt on his face. He likes to eat it when my back is turned.

He hasn't quite figured out walking yet but he's getting closer. He can walk next to me while holding my hand and can stand for a couple seconds until he realizes he's doing it and then grabs on to the nearest thing.

We had a two week period of awfulness this month where he wouldn't sleep at night. He just woke up and screamed bloody murder for an hour or more. Normally he just comfort nurses back to sleep but definitely not the case at that time! I'm thinking a lot of it had to do with teething. He has 8 teeth now. EIGHT! Gah. And let me tell you, he bites with those eight teeth. He likes to bite my toes when my legs are crossed and of course he gets a good bite in there while nursing once and awhile too.

Isabel got a haircut (by me, obviously) and I'm loving the shorter look for summer. She doesn't like to brush it ever so this is much easier for me in the mornings. She also went on a weekend camping trip with her BFF sophie and her family. They went boating and had a blast.

Nolan killed a bird in our backyard this weekend. I couldn't figure out why the birds were being so ridiculously loud outside so I made Brad go back there and there's Nolan smacking around a dead bird on our back patio area. He then jumped in the open window and brought it in the house. Oy vey!

We found out that my dog at my parent's house is in kidney failure so it's only a matter of time until her passing. She's 15 years old and I'm trying not to think about the future.

Lastly, for my birthday... Brad brought me home a female cavachon puppy whom I named Hadley. We have been trying to find the "perfect fit" for a dog with no luck at all. It's hard to find one who gets a long with Kopa and who doesn't want to maul the children all the time. I'm not sure puppy is the way I wanted to go but who can say no to that cute face?!

Nine Months

                                         I'm 9-Months

Wasn't I just typing up Alaric's birth story? I can't believe my big boy has grown so much. He's just an amazing soul. His personality is so genuine and wonderful. He can pull himself up on anything and everything and can even reach down to pick things while hanging on. He can walk himself across the couch while touching and is the fastest crawler you've ever seen! He likes to try to eat dog food and stick his whole arm in the pet water bowl.

He loves to throw a ball with someone or pull out the grass. He took a ride in a swing for the first time and loved it! He even went down the slide with his sister.

Brad should know better than to lay on the floor - ATTACK!

We've had like two nice days all spring so we enjoyed them as much as we could.

We went on Alaric's first trip to Fargo and he did beyond amazing. He hardly fussed the whole way there and then slept the entire drive home. He went swimming for the first time and ate out at lots of restaurants.

These pictures were on mother's day.

Then a few pictures of Kopa just because.

Eight Months

                                                       I'm 8-Months!

I am behind on posting yet again but here we go! At our last doctor's appointment...he weighed in at 18 lbs 12 oz. We also got the wonderful news that his double ear infection cleared up. It was a stressful couple months with that business.

Did I mention he's a total ham? Or the vegan equivlent of that anyway. He certainly loves the camera.

Alaric loves the dog park. We only take him to the small dog side because they aren't big enough to jump on him. He just squeals at the puppies. It's adorable.

He learned how to pull himself up... on everything. It means lot of falls too but he's getting better everyday. He also figured out normal crawling and man... he's so speedy.

He's such a flirt. You can tell already. Watch out ladies and gentlemen.

He may look happy but that's thanks to Marlana. He was not loving the easter bunny but she distracted him with a stuffed duck.

This is the photo of the month. I was running bath water for him and came back out to "catch" him playing in the new fur-baby water dish.

Here are some other randoms from the month of eight...
